Uni-Rex Volunteers at the MESA Halloween Drone Show

Last night, FRC Team Uni-Rex (5817) helped host Sanger’s inaugural MESA Halloween Drone Show– an event aimed at raising funds for the district’s high school and middle school MESA programs. The event took place at Dodson Field by the Washington Academic Middle School, where our team set up and ran an activities center for guests.

We dedicated our first booth to FIRST, demonstrating our robot and sharing information about the program. We also hosted a variety of interactive booths for young students to explore STEM principles. Some highlights include: constructing a Da Vinci bridge, making and explaining oobleck, and hosting a paper airplane competition.

Garnering over 200 attendees, the event was a resounding success, both in terms of community outreach and in securing much-needed funding for fellow Sanger district STEM programs. Uni-Rex is glad to have been able to connect young students to STEM while supporting our broader educational community.
