Learn to Start a FIRST Team with Uni-Rex

This past weekend, Team 5817 joined the Reedley STEM Conference, hosting an engaging panel for students and educators from across the Valley. The session was focused on introducing attendees to the world of FIRST Robotics, explaining what FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) has to offer, and providing guidance on how to start their own teams.

During the panel, Uni-Rex members shared valuable resources and offered points of contact for those eager to bring robotics to their own schools and communities. The highlight of the session was a live demonstration of our 2023 competition robot, which showcased the advanced engineering and programming skills students can develop through FIRST.

After the formal presentation, we continued to engage with conference attendees by demoing our robot in the common area of Reedley College. The hands-on interaction provided a closer look at the capabilities of the robot and sparked interest and curiosity among those who stopped by.

Team 5817's involvement at the Reedley STEM Conference was a great success, inspiring future FIRST members and encouraging the growth of STEM education in the region.
