Visit Team 5817 at Open House

Uni-Rex, Team 5817, proudly hosted its 8th annual Open House this weekend, welcoming family, friends, and community members to explore our workshop. Visitors were treated to guided tours led by our students, who offered an inside look into our program and showcased all the hard work they put in this year.

The event culminated in the unveiling of our 2023 competition robot, Suchomimus. Featuring a unique vacuum-based design, it’s equipped with suction cups for picking up and placing game pieces with precision. It also sports a Swerve drive base, allowing for agile and dynamic maneuvering across the field.

The evening concluded with an inspiring speech from our head coach, Ramon Cuevas, followed by live demonstrations of Suchomimus and a Q&A session with attendees.

With the success of our Open House behind us, we excitedly await the Central Valley Regional next week.
